Fix my tone

My tone sounds muddy

Cut bass on the amp to 4, lift mids, and switch to the bridge pickup. Too much gain also causes mud.

My tone is too harsh

Roll your guitar tone knob to 7, lower treble and presence, and try a warmer overdrive.

I disappear in the band mix

Boost the mids. Scooped tones sound big alone but vanish in a band. An EQ pedal helps.

Too much noise and hum

Add a noise gate after the dirt, use an isolated power supply, and check your cables.

My pedals sound weak

Check your pedal order: dirt before modulation, delay and reverb at the end.
